Update on the Griffin family...

The Iversons( the people we were house sitting for) come home from their mission in Scotland this Tuesday. Which means Brady and I have officially moved out of there lovely home. We just finished the final touch ups on the yard and house tonight. For the time being we are living in my parents basement while we search out a home of our own. They are so nice to let us stay with them and Brady's parents are so kind to let us store all of our stuff in their garage.
Brady is going to summer school as of right now as to finish up his bachelors degree in Quantatative Economics in August. This last week he started a full time job with Mountain Alarm as their accountant. He was their intern before, but they really wanted to keep him so they offered him a great job before he graduates. This is a real blessing for us, he is excited and loves what he does. The only down side to all this is that right now he is taking 15 credit hours and working full time, which means we dont see too much of each other. But this is only for three more weeks and then he will only have one class left that lasts til August. Almost there!!! So its a nice thing we are staying at my parents house so I dont get too bored.
I am currently 19.5 weeks along and baby is doing well. We find out the gender of our baby this coming Wednesday! Cant wait at all!!! Will post pics next post:)

Life is going great!!!

Kade & Brooklin

(picture above is of my family)
My Brother Kade and his lovely Bride Brooklin got married on May 13th 2011. They were married that morning in the Bountiful temple. They couldn't have picked a more perfect day to get married. The skies were blue,no wind and the most perfect temperature you could ask for.

Here are all the cute kiddos.

Wyatt and Carter just happy to be there.
A pic with both grandmas, what a treasure.
Brooklin made such a beautiful bride and I just loved Kade's Tuxedo, pretty snazzy.

The 3 amigos!!! enough said.
Me and my hubby:)

Precious Georgi

And there is Brady himself, lovin every minute of this day.
He makes me smile:)

What a perfect day. So happy for Kade and Brooklin. We just love Brooklin and are so excited to have her be apart of the family.

FORT FOR FAMILY NIGHT!!!!

On Monday night Brady and I were looking for something fun to do, so we did what anyone would do...we built a fort! I have not done this in forever. We set our laptop up inside and watched "I Love Lucy" episodes that I have on DVD and ate popcorn with m&ms. What a fun night,we felt like kids again!

OCTOBER 17, 2011

WE ARE HONESTLY MORE EXCITED THAN WE CAN POSSIBLY HANDLE.

I CANT WAIT TO BE A MOM. ITS WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED, AND NOW THE DAY IS IN SIGHT.

I JUST KNOW THAT BRADY IS GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL DAD. HE HAS ALWAYS HAD A SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS HEART FOR CHILDREN. IF YOU HAVE SEEN MY HUSBAND WITH CHILDREN THEN YOU KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. SO IT WILL BE REALLY FUN TO SEE HIM WITH OUR OWN.

NOW HERE IS A PICTURE OF OUR LITTLE BABY AT MY 12WK APPT ULTRASOUND(WHICH WAS TODAY)

IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS SUCKING ITS THUMB WHICH IS SUPER CUTE!!

OUR BABY IS CURRENTLY 3 INCHES LONG AND COMPARABLE TO THE SIZE OF A PEACH.

I got him this year!! Really good too!!

Take a good look at these beautiful things...

Because I will have you know, they are surely not BROWNIES!

See that one on the bottom left, Brady tried to eat it.

Didnt taste so great because these are actually sponges covered in cocoa powder and frosting on top.

And can you believe it, the Master of Jokes Himself(Brayden Griffin) fell for MY April Fools joke!!!

He walked in the door from work and yelled " mmm Brownies!!"

Picked one up, even saw a little blue sponge showing through but thought nothing of it and still chomped right into my delightful trick! And ran to the sink and spit it out.

Ha Ha

I feel quite accomplished on this the 1st day of April 2011(also known as April Fools Day).

Temporary Parents!!!

Last week Brady and I babysat his boss's SIX kids! We stayed at their house in Ogden and played mom and dad for the whole week. Everyone that we told beforehand all said things like, " oh man! Good luck", or " Six?, wow that is going to be the longest week of your life." and things like" just don't let this scare you away from wanting kids." I started kind of dreading the whole experience, I was starting to get nervous to be in charge of someone else's children. Brady on the other hand was totally stoked for everything about the week, he really could not wait.

Well, to all of you out there it was not the longest week of my life!! It actually turned out to be a great experience. I am not saying that it was all smooth sailing and that I am ready to do it tomorrow, but it was not that bad. We had a good time, probably half because Brady was having a total blast the whole time. They were good kids and fun to be with. The oldest being almost 11 and the youngest at 10 months. Ages of children: 10 1/2, 9, 7, ,5, 2, and 10 months.

Here are some pictures of some of the momentous things we did:

Brady put together a Guess Who and Connect Four tournament
It was fun because even the two year old could play with us.

we are missing a few children here, but it turned out to be a big hit. We ended up having a tournament almost everyday after that.

We made personal pizzas with the kids. They really enjoyed this! can you say huge mess? but totally worth it:)
Baby is missing? Cant recall where she was at the moment...great mom right?

Oh here she is!!!phew

Their parents left them some playdough to play with which was also a big hit.

This was a good experience for Brady and I. I got a small glimpse of motherhood and it was really fun to see Brady as a dad and seeing how much he adored these kids. He treated them like his own and it was really cute to see.
Couldn't have done it without him and im glad we had this chance to babysit:)
