A proud canner

There are two pear trees in our backyard. One big one, one little one. Little did we know, there came about twelve big boxes of pears from those two trees. Thats alot of pears!!! I gave a bunch away, Brady and I ate a bunch. And then... I learned how to can! I never thought I would know how to can, but I do and its actually pretty fun! A couple ladies in our new ward offered to help me can my pears. So we just divided the cans equally among us. It was so nice of them to help me.
Then I decided I still had a plethora of pears left and wanted to try something different. So I made pear sauce(its like applesauce but with pears instead). Thanks to Brady's sister Kati for giving me pointers along the way . It was quite a fun experiment. I made one batch with regular sugar and one with brown sugar. Brady votes Brown sugar is better but likes them both.
So I ended up with 11 cans of pears and 9 1/2 cans of pear sauce.

My favorite room in the house:)

Our little James will be here in just a few days now. My Dr is going to start me on Tuesday Morning, so hopefully he will be born that day:). We can't wait to meet him!
Here are a couple pictures of the nursery. I love just going in there and thinking that there will be a little baby boy in there real soon! It makes me smile. I really can't believe its here, its finally here!

COTTON CANDY MAN

At the beginning of September Brady made cotton candy at my sister in law Bonnie's sisters wedding reception. He was the Cotton Candy man and it literally became entertainment for the guests. It was hilarious, at times Brady was covered head to toe in Cotton candy. He had the most fun of anyone there as you can tell from these pictures. What a fun husband I have:)

Well here I am. I feel like I look huge! My hands, feet and face are all in all...PUFFY! I think I have come to the conclusion that " A Good Nights sleep" is no longer part of my life:) But that's okay right because its all totally worth it.
I think about our little boy ALL THE TIME and cant help but smile.
He is so my favorite!
My dr is wanting to start me a week early which would push my due date up to October 10th(25days away!). We will see for sure at this next weeks appt!
I almost cant believe this is actually happening to me, Im having a baby and im going to be a mom! Ah! Can life get any better?

APPLE PIE!

I have never really been a pie person, especially not ones with fruit in them. I would have rather had cake or ice cream or cookies or something, chocolate. And maybe its because my family has never really had a passion for pies either. But ever since I started dating Brady I have realized how delicious pie can be. His family makes wonderful fruit pies( especially grandma and Dave). Apple pie now lies right up there as one of my top five desserts, I love it! Ever since Brady and I got married I have been dying to learn how this pie is put together. I asked his grandma if she would teach me, and yesterday was the big day. I learned how to make apple pie, how grand! And ya know it was not near as hard as I thought it would be. I think I could even do it by myself. I am so glad that I now know how to make a delicious apple pie:)

And here we have an apple pie. Made especially for me, by me:)
